Wilson Julius Odek is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the Principal of Odek Law Advocates. His practice is built on litigation: he represents individuals, businesses and groups in matters from the Small Claims Court to the High Court, and before regulators such as the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Wilson has particular depth in data protection and privacy under the Data Protection Act, 2019, from complaints before the Data Commissioner to appeals and judicial review in the High Court. He also acts in consumer protection and regulatory accountability matters, constitutional and human rights petitions, family and children’s matters, and civil, commercial, employment and property disputes.

His approach is direct: understand the law, the risks and the bigger picture, then pursue the client’s objective with purpose, particularly where the other side is larger or better resourced.
